At present, most paste products are packaged into tube. Tube-packed products are widely used in field of medicine (ointment for external use, oculentum, etc.), daily chemical industry such as toothpaste, cosmetics, pigment, etc. and fields like food and condiment. Most of them, especially medicinal ointment products and daily chemical products, have to be cartoned.
Currently, tubes are cartoned manually or mechanically. Manually, tube is inserted to formed carton, followed by sealing. This is low-efficiency. While mechanically, tube is cartoned with cartoner. Production with cartoner is fast with the fact that domestic high-speed model can exceed 180~200 cartons/min in production speed, and that of 250~ 350 cartons/min is being developed. However, tube feeding mechanism in Cartoner has long been a bottleneck for improvement in tube cartoning speed. Existing tube feeding mechanism is fixed with short feeding time. And the tube is often pinched when the mechanism and cartoner simultaneously open the gate In the case, it is necessary to manually arrange tubes in order. As a result, domestic tube-packaged products are cartoned slowly, unsuitable for modern large-scale production.
Fully automatic tube feeding mechanism of cartoner designed and manufactured by us having overcoming defect of tube cutting mechanism in existing tube cartoner, are enjoying advantages of accurate and fast feeding, economical and simple structure and reliable action, in pace with production speed of cartoner. Therefore, the mechanism is more economical and applicable.
1.Composition and functions
The feeding mechanism is made up of 2 tube dropping mechanisms (Each set of tube dropping mechanism is made up of upper tube dropping mechanism and lower tube dropping mechanism), tube conveyor belt, rejection device, upper/lower tube dropping mechanism driving device and 2 reciprocating swing mechanisms.
2.Technical solution
After delivered through tube conveyer belt, 2-way-tubes are subject to inspection with photoelectric switch. If there has been tube in upper tube dropping mechanism, tubes will be rejected from conveyer belt by rejection device, or otherwise they will enter upper tube dropping mechanism. At this time, , the upper tube dropping mechanism will open to drop tubes to lower tube dropping mechanism when the lower tube dropping mechanism is with no tube. If not, upper tube dropping mechanism won’t open. Bottom of lower tube dropping mechanism is closed when tubes drop to it. so that tubes won’t directly drop to chain scraper of cartoner.
Tube dropping mechanism is driven to do reciprocating swing by servo motor. Once the mechanism swings for a cycle, chain scraper of cartoner passes 2 bins. When the mechanism and chain scraper of cartoner move in the same direction at the same speed, lower tube dropping mechanism will open so that tubes will drop to chain scraper of cartoner for cartoning (leaflet folding, inserted in carton, carton sealing) before carton output.
3.Conclusion
It has been proven in the use by multiple domestic and overseas customers that the mechanism keeps stable running on cartoner, are applicable to different tube models, and solves the bottleneck of tube cartoning speed so that cartoning speed can reach as high as 200 cartons/min, thus providing a perfect solution for modern large-scale production.
