Recently, Jornen provided a vials blister packaging line for a Chinese customer. This line is a combination of four units: the vial filling machine, the labelling machine, the blister machine and the Cartoning Machine, this line equipped two robots, one for blister feeding, the other for transportion in connecting unite between the blister and cartoning unit.
At first, the vials are placed in a unscrambler manually, the conveyor transferred the vials to two turntables where the vials are filled, after the filling, the vials are then transferred to inspection unit; After the inspection, the vials are moved to the second unscrambler, the vials are transferred and lie down on the conveyor of the labelling machine through a screw conveyor, after labelling, the vials are discharged to the third unscrambler, here the vials are ready for blister pack. In the blister feeder unit, a conveyor transports the vials into the tracks. A motor driven slider move the vials from side to side to distributes them evenly, then a rake guides the vials into the chutes and forms them into lines; from there they continue into the slots of a servo-regulated roller. The roller turns 90 degrees, moving the vials into a horizontal position. The vials are then collected by the robot with vacuum suction cups from the slots of the roller, and accurately and gently placed into the blister formed web. This blister pack for vials adopts clamp-packs design, after the robot’s pre-feeding, the press-in device pushes the vials into the bottom of the pockets, the pocket clamps the vial firmly, without lidding sealing materail, the vials wont falling from the pockets. The blister machine pack for vial normally apply this clamp-pack design, so this kind of blister machine has no sealing station, only provided forming and cutting station.
After the cutting, the blister trays fed with vials are then transported to the cartoning machine by the second robot, after the action of leaflet, incerting, carton closing, the finished products are discharged finally.
