Currently, the bottleneck slowing down cartoner ’s speed is accurate material feeding. One of the widely used discharging mechanisms is free discharging mechanism.
The free discharging mechanism makes the materials fall down by virtue of their own weights and then pushes them by cylinder push rods to complete feeding. Such mechanism depending on the cylinder push rods are usually applied to intermittent motion cartoners. The simple structure is desirable but also puts a big limit on this mechanism with the fact that light materials could hardly complete feeding since the mechanism depends on weight of material.
A rotary discharging mechanism being widely used
There is also a rotary discharging mechanism being widely used. It is controlled by a servo motor which rotates the rotary blades by a synchronous pulley driving system, making them feed the materials. Such mechanism is usually applied to continuous motion cartoners.
This mechanism is competent in case of low speed, but problems will arise when speed rises. As the rotary discharging mechanism is fixed, the servo motor cannot judge the speed of the driving system accurately. Once the discharging speed mismatches the cartoner speed, dead zones appear during discharging and pose threat for following processes.
By comparing and studying different discharging mechanisms, our company designs a swinging rotary discharging mechanism to cope with the weakness mentioned above. Our invention solves the problem of the rotary discharging mechanism that the feeding speed mismatches the cartoning speed.
An fully automatic high speed cartoner works as follows: after putting the materials in a feed bin, the machine swings the swinging bin, making the swinging speed match the conveying speed of the cartoner and the feeding sheet is controlled by the servo motor to complete the discharging process. The feed bin is swung in the same speed with the running speed of the mechanism when the cartoner works and materials are discharged along with the swinging of the feed pin. This is the whole process of discharging.
The process actions of a discharging cycle include: medicinal packing plates are put into the feed bin, the feed bin swings rightwards at the speed matching the conveying speed if in normal condition, a medicinal packing plate is put on the production line after the feeding sheet finishes one revolution and the feed bin swings leftwards to continue the next discharging.
Quantity of the medicinal packing plates for one cycle can be set by adjusting driving parameter of the servo motor.
