In recent years, blister packaging is not only used to pack medicine and health care products as a mainstream packaging mode, but also used to pack food, seasoning and candy. The vast majority of products with blister packaging must be cartoned, especially medicine. The finished products with blister packaging and cartoning are not only provided with an elegant appearance that can attract consumers, but also convenient for product display, popular with retailers, and not easy to be squeezed in the process of transportation and carrying, so in the context of same product quality, the market competition is exactly the competition of packaging.
To reduce packaging costs, one of the most effective ways is to improve the production efficiency. The production speed of Cartoner is relatively high, with domestic high-speed performance above 180~200 cartons/min, and now high-speed cartoner at 250~350 cartons/min is under development, but blister cards feeder has always been the bottleneck restricting cartoner speed. The existing blister cards feeder often meets inclined and inverted plates, so it is required to manually stack them neatly; secondly, it is difficult to control the number of feeding pieces at every turn, the counting is inaccurate, so it is prone to making mistakes; furthermore, the transmission mode with cylinder cartoning has a very slow speed, not suitable for modern mass production.
The blister cards feeder of the full automatic cartoner designed and manufactured by our company adopts a swing track mode, which has overcome the defects in the blister cards feeder of the existing cartoner. This blister cards feeder can automatically control the number of blister cards entering the transfer belt of cartoner, with accurate counting, fast feeding speed, simple & economical structure and reliable operation, which can keep up with the production speed of cartoner, making it more economical and applicable.
Through circular unfolding and retraction, the blister cards in the magazine will be quickly lowered to the transfer belt of cartoner. Due to the magazine will swing back and forth to follow up the transfer belt of cartoner in the process of feeding, the blister card at the time of falling will keep an identical shift speed with the transfer belt of cartoner. If taking the magazine as a reference substance, the transfer belt of cartoner at the moment stays still relative to the magazine, so the blister card can acquire the maximum falling time, thus to achieve stable high-speed operation. The unfolding and retraction of the upper and lower plates will be controlled by the camshaft. A blister card will be released when the camshaft turns a half circle, so 2 blister cards will be released every circle. The camshaft is driven by a servo motor, so the releasing number of blister cards can be controlled by controlling the rotating speed of the servo motor. In actual operation, the falling mechanism can descend at most 600 blister cards every minute.
Conclusion
After operation with several domestic and oversea customers, it is proved that this blister cards feeder can work well and reliably on our cartoner, suitable for different sizes of blister cards, which resolves the bottleneck restricting blister feeding speed of cartoner and makes the maximum speed of cartoner reach 200 boxes/min, finding a perfect solution for mass production.
